Joy’s advice for law school applicants:

Law schools are looking for talented individuals to come together to make a bright, inquisitive, and diverse class in the short term and successful lawyers in the long term. As a result, the goal of the application process is to present your unique characteristics, experiences, and strengths in a sincere and persuasive manner to demonstrate that you will be a good student and an even better attorney. Do not, however, try to package yourself into what you imagine to be the ideal law school applicant. If you focus on what you think schools want to hear, you risk losing sight of what you want to say. Each one of you has a captivating story to tell; be bold in telling it.

What Joy’s clients have to say about her

Joy Blaser was a great counselor and thoroughly helped me in a variety of ways. I feel like I really gained skills that not only helped me get into a great law school but that will also help me succeed in law school!
She helped instill confidence in me for my applications and was vital in my navigation of the application process. She was instrumental in my acceptance to Columbia, along with my scholarship offers to Duke and Texas. I recommend Stratus to everyone who asks me what helped me the most in applying to law school.
