Even though the national conversation around diversity has shifted since last year, business schools continue to value diversity along every dimension and go to great lengths to make their programs welcoming to all, including LGBTQIA+ applicants and students. The top MBA programs in the United States all have LGBTQIA+ student clubs.
As you research business schools, it is a good idea to attend events for any school of interest to you. We also recommend talking to students as part of your MBA program research whenever possible. The leaders of LGBTQIA+ clubs are often listed on the clubs’ websites and can tell you not only about their clubs, but also more about their schools. In addition, more than 60 of the top business schools have partnered with Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA), which this year offered a virtual conference in August aimed at LGBTQIA+ candidates applying to MBA programs.
