Top Business School Clubs and Recruiting Events for Active-Duty Military and Veterans

October 1, 2025

Lisa Cummings

Are you an active military member or a veteran considering applying to business school? MBA programs seek veterans and active military members because, as we discuss in “How to Leverage Your Military Experience in MBA Applications,” traits that lead to success in military service can also lead to success in business school and beyond—in particular, leadership skills, the ability to work and make decisions under pressure, and teamwork capabilities.

Many top MBA programs have active outreach programs that target military applicants. These events are a great way to meet MBA students and learn more about the different programs while also gaining valuable admissions tips. In addition, you will learn about support services for veteran and active-duty candidates, career recruiting, and programs for significant others.

In this blog post, we present a list of links to business schools’ military and veterans’ clubs, plus the names and dates of upcoming military-related events, where available. Dates can change and programs can be added, so check with your target schools’ clubs for updated event details.

In addition, be sure to do your research. Many schools offer fee waivers and scholarships to military MBA candidates! Also, the Yellow Ribbon Program can help pay for fees that the Post-9/11 GI Bill doesn’t cover.
